Maple syrup makes a wonderful gift for teachers, postal workers, clients, staff, friends, and family. Buy 12 quarts of syrup and your shopping is nearly done! Or if you’re a professional cook, stock up on some of New Hampshire’s most flavorful maple syrup while it’s available.
(Note: syrup by the case is only available in the popular “dark color & robust taste” grade. Our plastic syrup bottles are manufactured in Massachusetts and are BPA-free. Purchase Mayfair syrup by the individual bottle here.)
Nothing beats pure New Hampshire maple syrup. Our syrup is made from the sugar bush at Whippoorwill Farm, which has been in the Howe family since 1932. Years ago the family conserved the property to protect the farm’s future. In 2015 Whippoorwill Farm and Mayfair Farm entered into a partnership to ensure farming and sugaring for years to come. The Whippoorwill sugarbush spans 400 acres of Marlborough, New Hampshire, hillside with a view of Mt. Monadnock.
When we’re in full on mud-season—New England’s fifth-season, wedged between winter and spring—we put on our best boots and start collecting sap. It take forty gallons of sap and countless hours to produce one precious gallon of syrup.
