This bright winter slaw uses homemade mayonnaise. Making your own mayonnaise will upgrade your leftovers and turn you away from Hellman’s for good. The slaw is great in any context — as a side dish or on a sandwich heaped with leftover Christmas ham or Chanukah brisket.
Thinly slice cabbage in food processor. Change to a grating blade and grate apples and celery root. Combine with all other ingredients. Refrigerate one hour and adjust seasoning to taste.
